I'm on the lookout for a set of fixed iron sights for my AR. I also have a Aimpoint H1 on the way with a Larue high mount for lower 1/3rd cowitness. There's a guy who has a set of OEM HK 416 sights for sale that I was thinking about, the ones with the diopter rear sight and the fat HK style front.
From what I remember when I was ordering the Larue mount they had a HK mount that would make the optic sit lower, is that because HK 416s have a higher picatinny rail ala a Larue OBR?
IF this is true would I be correct in thinking that if I bought these sights and mounted them, they would sit lower than say a Daniel Defense fixed iron sight?
Thanks for reading my long winded post!
