    Nikon M-223 Sunshade

I was wondering if anybody knows what sunshade will work on the Nikon M-223 3-12x42sf scope? I was looking at the Nikon Monarch 42mm obj. sunshade #7162 but was unsure if it would fit.

    Thanks

I braved the warehouse to pull a 42mm M-223 and a 7162 sunshade, and behold:

Fits like a glove, or a threaded sunshade.

          Mark H,
Is this sunshade made of aluminum or plastic?

Also, logic would tell me that this 7162 will also fit the M223 4x16 42mm.

It's aluminum, or "aluminium" as my Danish Mother-In-Law corrects me often.

She likes to tell anyone in earshot that "aluminium" was first produced in the 1800's by a Danish chemist.

I'd like to say "No kidding? We Americans used it to land a man on the moon, so I guess we can call it whatever we want..."

Sorry, she arrives tomorrow for two weeks...
