Bushnell TRS-25 Problem

So I orderd the trs-25 and when I opened the box and looked thru the lens I saw a red cloud of some sort...It looks like some type of coating? I shipped it back and a replacement came......Same darn thing on the replacement...Red Cloud!.....this can't be normal...Has anyone else found this problem in their trs-25....i'm looking at just getting my refund and buying the Primary arms micro dot but no one has the fixed base version...thats what I need to co witness on my ak with an ultimak...Please dont say go buy an aimpoint....the PA or trs-25 will be fine for what im doing.

Are you talking about the blueish tint to the lens? That is Bushnell's Amber-Bright lens coating.

Nope I'm talking about the redish cloud like area. I'm just wondering if anyone else has that issue.

Oh, I thought that was an object on the floor/wall. Mine does not have that cloud. Is the cloud visible out in the sunlight?

It's almost like the shiny glue that's holding the emitter is reflecting onto the front or rear glass.

don't have that problem either. under florescent lighting either. might be different though.

I just checked and directly under florescent lighting mine does have that cloud, in the upper left 1/4 of the sight. But not under incandescent lighting, ambient lighting or outside in the sun. I think it has to do with how the front lens is angled back and the position of the emitter. I wouldn't worry about it, unless you do all your shooting under florescent lights.

wow man, that sux! I have that red dot on my AK and it has served me EXTREMELY well. 1500+ rounds and it still holds zero. No cloud what-so-ever. I would send it back ASAP

I confirmed it is due to the shiny glue used to hold the emitter. When removed from the firearm and under florescent lighting you can see the reflection. But mounted on the ultimak for absolute co witness it cant be seen indoor or outdoors...its working fine.
