Simmons vs Weaver

I just put a savage mark 2 tr in jail and now I am trying to find a scope while i wait. I mainly shoot paper at the range and have a budget of 300. I have looked at the Simmons Predator Quest 2-24x50 and the Weaver 6.5-20x44 40/44. I leaning toward the Simmons but figured I would get some feed back on the clarity of the two.

I would get the Weaver myself. I also would not put a 50mm scope on a rifle other than a 50bmg then it is a 56mm Nightforce. I have used the Weaver scope and for the money it is not too bad. I have had several Simmons but have sold them. Not as good as the weaver. If you cannot place your shots with 20X then 24X will not help.

I'm siding with Divernhunter - the Weaver would be my choice as well. Very sharp, clear glass on the Weaver, and I'm not a fan of the goofy graphics on the objective bell of the Simmons. On the box, maybe. On my scope, no thank you.
