    Aimpoint micro t-1

Considering the 2moa version for a light weight 14.5" build (with fixed muzzle break to make it legal, of course).

    Real world feedback appreciated.

The application is 100-200yd as a light weight quick handling AR. Might add a magnifier later if shooting past 200yd.

Also, which vendor currently has the best prices?

For your intended application, you really can't go wrong. I don't think there's anything better... the only other ultra lightweight optic i can think of is an RMR.

I bought a 2moa from Gunsafari.com not too long ago, gave em a call and asked for a deal. They hooked me up.

The T-1 2 moa is well worth it. The T-1 in general is pretty much the standard all other red dot type optics are judged by in terms of balance of weight, size, and ruggedness.

If you want a Larue mount, the best price would be to order the combo direct from Larue Tactical. If you want some other mount, you can find pretty good deals on the T-1 alone from other vendors with promotions or coupon codes.

I see them frequently come up on the ARFCOM Equipment Exchange so if you're looking to save on a combo deal, check there first. And before getting a magnifier, you should look through one first. Some folks don't see the dot clearly.

Check this out and you tell me, this is a promo video for the Daniel Defense Torture Test with a T-1 on it. Can you say B@D @$$ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-IVbdF_ZT4 and after all the little goodies that came with mine I will only buy from http://www.laruetactical.com/aimpoin...qd-mount-combo and 200yards 0 problems..........

I totally agree with SuperSet. Check out arfcom. If you dont really mind, barely used one, you can really save your self some money. Time to time, you will come across great deals. I got myself H1 with larue mount, its like new in the box, from the site for $430, which I think it is a good deal.

I also have been thinking about the T1 for my MP 15-22 but was not sure on the 4 moa or the 2 moa I really do not know what the diff. is.
I have a 6x PA magnifier already we got for free when I bought my sons Eotech, I was going to put behind it from time to time. he is using the new Gen. PA 3X magnifier so the 6X is just setting in the vault.

Love mine. Got it for under $500 with LaRue mount on a groupbuy.

From 25 to 350 yards, works well...

This is my lightweight rifle. ~ 7 lbs empty.

So if I use a Aimpoint T-1 with the Larue mount I would have an 1/3 co witness ?
then I could put my Primary Arms 6X with the Primary Arms tall rollover mount on that 6X . and that will all be the right height and work together?

Seems like overkill to put a T1 on a .22 when you can go with a Primary Arms micro clone instead. And yes to your question about height alignment. Have you looked through one with magnification yet? It's kind of a blob IMO.

I have been running this optic since it first came out. Excellent optic (one of my favorites).

You may be right, I was not aware that PA had a micro and I might just try that first.

I do know that the more you pay the better clarity you seem to get. I have only tried Magnifiers on Eotech. Which again the Eotech magnifier is clearer than the PA

That's generally true when it comes to Optics but magnifiers are simple devices with no reticules. I did not notice a visual difference between either the AP magnifier or the PA/Lucid/Vortex VMX3 outside of weight and eye relief.
Plus it's not really an issue with the magnifier but of magnifying the AP micro dot, which does not look good to my eyes and several others. It may look perfectly clear to you so I'd advise finding someone with one first so you can see what it looks like.

I have a carbine class at the end of July and the Instructor Rudy - I think had one when I was there a few months back in the Extreme shooting class, I will take a look at his in July.
                            Thanks
