Position for Red Dot on a Ruger PCC?

I recently purchased a Ruger PCC and I have acquired a Sig Sauer Romeo MSR Red Dot Gen II for it.

My question is where do I place it?

I have done some research on I see where it is recommended to keep it on the receiver and not the hand guard.

I have zero experience with red dots.

The only reason I am getting a red dot it suits my old-er eyes better than iron sights.
