optics for oll

as of now debating between eo tech and aimpoint, the start of this build started out as something for me to practice with since i will find myself getting deployed with army national guard by end of this year. are there any vets that have suggestions? i like the eotech but i think i might find myself needing some thign with some range. perhaps a scope with variable power? i am very much of a newb when it comes to this stuff the whole time i have been in the army i have only used iron sights so help me out guys thanks

honestly, you really don't need an eotech or aimpoint. if your good with the iron sights, then more power to you. if you really want an optic, go with eotech, better field of view.

Forget the sight. Spend the money on ammo and shoot frequently. God knows, the Army won't let you shoot more than 100 rounds before deploying.
