💬 Osight XR (enclosed emitter) – 250 Round First Impressions

Hey everyone, I finally got the Osight XR out to the range and put about 250 rounds through it mounted on a Gen 5 Glock MOS.

    A few notes:

    • Full-size enclosed emitter optic
    • $299 price point
    • 7075 T6 aluminum housing
    • Internal rechargeable battery (magnetic charging hood)
    • Held zero for the entire session
    • No flickering or shutdown issues

    Mounting note:
Because of the MOS plate thread protrusion, I had to use small metal washers between the screws and plate to get it to lock down properly. After that, no issues.

Reticle: Glass clarity is very good, but for me (possibly astigmatism), the circle dot appears fuzzy. The single dot was much better. Also noticed the reticle dims slightly near the top of the window.

Zeroing: Very easy adjustments. Audible and tactile clicks. I pre-zeroed with a laser bore sight and was about 2” over and 3” down at 25 yards when I confirmed.

    Pros:
    • Price point
    • Enclosed emitter
    • Rechargeable system
    • Good brightness range
    • Held zero

    Cons (so far):
    • Slight dimming near top of glass
    • Reticle fuzziness (may be eye-dependent)
    • Window a bit small for competition use For range use or possibly carry, this seems like a strong option, especially at $299.

Long-term durability still to be determined.
