    I have no problem with the tech being available. Where I have issues is when users allow the tech to replace actual knowledge and skill. I used to run into a good number of 'bookkeepers' who could use the computer, but didn't know what the computer was doing in terms of the actual accounting, meaning if there was a problem with the numbers, they didn't know how to find it. The same holds pretty much true with all professions.

    That doesn't mean you have to be an 'expert.' What it means is that, I believe, you need to know how to do something 'manually' before you rely on technology to do it for you. In that way, you act as not only a double check on what the inanimate object is 'saying' to you, but as default mechanism if the object fails so you can still get the job done.

    Note that despite the sales pitch, it's still dependent on the object's clarity...

      dope is dope. you can't really "improve" it because it is a record of previous shots (ideally under similar conditions and distances).
      it will help to reduce the number of shots required to get dope for specific distances.
