    Vortex Pricing

Looking to pickup a Vortex scope (4-16x50) and quite frankly sick of all the pop-ups on the web. I know this may be a little much for an AR (223) but I may have to shoot the balls off of a mosquito some day..

I want to Thank the guys that were shooting at the Sac Valley Shooting long range (1000 Yard) for the info on saturday. Don't remember their names but they were very informative when I was asking questions about optics..

I'm also open to hear any opinion regarding optics.....
    Price Range $400 to $800
Range up to 350 yards would be nice....

    This is two part also:
Main difference between Viper and Viper PST?
Best place to shop locally if possible.
I'm like a kid in a candy store and want my toy's now...

    Thanks,
    Mark

Best place locally is CSTactical I believe he was even at the Sac Valley Clinic. Mike is a great guy and should take good care of you. The 4-16 PST is a great scope you will not be disappointed! Give Mike a call.

The PST is going to give you a 30mm tube which will mean more internal MOA in the same mag range as compared to the Viper. It also has a glass etched illuminated reticle as well. Some more upgrades to teh PST are the "CRS" zero stop turrets for an easy reset and a better erector housing system for adjustments.

It does have some good upgrades, but the Viper is still a nice scope. The stock was out for a long time from Vortex but we have some 2.5-15x44's in stock as well as some 6-24's, not the FFP's though.

The 50mm obj may be too big for your application(.223). You should consider a 44mm obj for better field of view plus it'll look much better on your AR. You may also save some $$.
