I bought a Sporerized Mauser back in 2021. I just took it out a couple of months ago and started sighting in the scope (BEC Goldlable 3-9 x 50 w/ lighted recital). After about 6 shots of trying to tune it in, the rifle started hitting dirt, 20 yards in from of the 100 yard target. Then I remembered that it did exactly the same thing just after I bought it, but forgot about that incident. I'm thinking that the scope must be the culprit. The weird thing is that if it is the scope, why did it revert back to almost where I started the first time? Shouldn't have it been stuck aiming low?
All my other scopes are 30mm.The BEC has a 1" tube and I don't have another to try out.
So 2 questions:
Is a BEC scope worth sending in for repair?
Could it be anything else that would change the trajectory so drastically and then spring back, only to go out again?
Thanks.
