Cheap leupy or?

I have a couple of VX-Freedoms in 3-9x40. They feel a lot like the Redfield Revolutions that Leupold used to make, just with VX-2 glass instead of VX-1 glass. In both cases, the turrets are a bit mushy, that's true. But they do work, and they work well. I'd buy them again.
As for components made overseas, my understanding is that in their riflescopes, the glass is Japanese, but that everything else is American. I do know that Leupold's one of, and most likely *the*, last affordable riflescope maker that still makes its products here.
Just had a look at their warranty exceptions. This is straight from their Web site.
"These warranties do not apply if the product has been modified, misused, or has been damaged by accident, abuse, or misapplication."

That's new. However, Leupold has a long history of being good to their customers, so they'll probably take good care of you. Ruger has no warranty whatsoever on their firearms. But they still take good care of their customers, and I know this from experience. Leupold knows that their warranty, and their made-in-USA nature, are what sells a lot of riflescopes. They know that if they lose that reputation, they're toast."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

To be a true Liberal, you must be 100% pro-Second Amendment. Anything less is inconsistent with liberalism. -

I have a lot of VX2s, VX3's and VX5's along with other brands of scopes (more and less expensive) but what keeps me coming back to Leupold is their customer service.
I left a message on their site that I had lost a turret cover off of my Matte VX-3 and asked how I would order a replacement. After 3 days with no answer, I got an email with a tracking number for the new cover that they're shipping to me for free.Frank

I had an expensive Leupold range finder that stopped working after 2 years. It had sat in a drawer the whole time. I kept forgetting to take it with me on hunts. They refused to warranty it and wouldn't budge. That turned me off of Leupold products for life."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. I have 3 Leupold 3x9 33mm Freedom scopes, they are excellent.
The smaller size also saves weight. These have a front parallax turret adjustable from below 25 yards to infinity. Always in sharp focus at any distance.
I got mIne for $300, now they are $400 because of Bidenflation.Comment
