are there any good quality ones out there or just a cheap ones that are only designed around low recoil rifles or bb guns?

there are several quality options out there for this type of sight -- a lot of manufacturers call them mini red-dot sights. i usually refer to them as open-frame red-dot sights, and everyone seems to understand what i'm describing.

I love my Leupold Deltapoint.
I'm not familiar with the other reflex type red dots on the market, but the DP has auto brightness adjust and auto on/off. Low profile and small foot print makes it useable for hand guns too.
