Bipod questions

Just bought my first bolt action rifle yesterday. I'm looking into bipods but don't know anything about them. What is the most common height? What are the preferred brands? What should I be looking for? I bought a Tikka T3 Lite in .308 (if that matters). Thanks.

Cant go wrong with a Harris, mounts to any swivel stud. The 6-9 is a great choice for most shooting.

for bench shooting, get a Harris 6-9 or 9-13". I have the 6-9" version on my .556 AR15, and a 9-13" version on my Savage 10BA .308. Built very well and sturdy. Very happy with it.
