Noob Question About Daniel Defense Fixed Sights

I just received a set of used Daniel Defense sights that I ordered on eBay.
When flipped down to the larger aperture, there is quite a bit of play/movement:

This is my very first gun so I am not sure if it is defective or supposed to even be like that. thanks

I have the Daniel Defense A1.5 rear sight also, I love it, its lightweight but mine has zero play whatsoever.

Are they real DD sights or knock offs? How much did you pay?

I think it just may not be screwed all the way down. Look up a video on how to dissassemle rear sights. Its very easy and may be just needs to be turned a notch to keep it from moving.

Yeah they are some knock off's out there.
The ones you purchased look legit.

I would contact Daniel Defense and see if they can help with it perhaps fix it or replace it. Im sure they would work with you.

Its a great fixed sight set up, hope it get fixed!

I cant tell in the picture, but make sure that the sight adjustment wheel is resting with the ball bearing in a slot. (second picture)
It looks like its not sitting in the hole for it, that may be causing it too move

It is sitting in the hole. The pin moves with it

Call Daniel Defence, or send them in to them, if there real they will make it right if not they send em back. I have there flip up sights, mine was loose when in the up position, called them and they had me send them back and sent me a new set nice and tight no charge.

Contact them, tell them what is going on. They might have you send it in. Good luck

When they were in the up position mine would wiggle a bit, it bugged me. I purchased them directly from them so they had a record of it. I would call them Monday and see what they have to say. Just say they feel loose, nothing more, see what they say. Good luck.
