EOTECH energizer batteries only??
Collapse

I use streamlight, surefire and duracell cr123 batteries and they all worked just fine. BTW i use only lithium for longer battery life. -
I use lithium AA's in my EOTech 512 - few things suck worse than a battery leaking in one of your expensive optics.
I'm paranoid. VERY bad memories as a kid, losing toys to these leaky things:

I use Surefire cr123's in mine. I got em from discount shooters supply for like 12 bucks a box."Men sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

If I remember correctly, my Eotech came from the factory with a Panasonic lithium battery, so a strictly Energizer recommendation is a bit puzzling.
If I'm not using Surefires, I usually have some Ray-O-Vac photo lithiums as backups. They're easier to find at stores and are very highly rated (right next to Surefires) on the candlepower forum reviews/123 battery shootout.
Hope this helps.Comment

I remember those batts. Never ready batteries we called it. I used to have dreams as a kid stumbling in a pitch dark place and my flashlight loaded with these craptacular batteries would cause my light to be so dim to the point that it scared the crap outta me."Screw U guys, I'm going home"...:the great Eric Cartman

The battery that came with my EOTECH XPS is a Panasonic. The sight doesn't get heavy use but the battery is still running strong after more than 6 months of use.
According to Battery Junction, Panasonic makes batteries for Surefire and other companies. They also have higher power reserve (last longer) than many of the other vendors. They are all I currently buy and run me about $1.00-$1.50 each.Comment
