    Eotech Questions - EXP2 vs XPS2

    Hey fellas,

I am a looking into getting a Eotech and have been trying to be a good cal-gunner and do my research

However, the two HWS i am interested in most appear to almost be the same.

I am looking at the XPS2

    and EXP2

from just looking at the website the only real difference I noticed was the size, the EXP2 appears to be a little bigger. But they both have the same window dimension so I dont know if that really matters besides saving rail space.

Can anybody tell me what the major differences are between these two HWS?

Also, maybe a stupid question but if you look to the right of the XSP2 link below you will see various red dots to choose from. Are these different models or does the EXP2 allow you to change your sight image?

    Thanks Again!!!!

Any model with the E in front has the integral 7mm riser so it's taller and gives u lower 1/3 cowitness. Also, it has the buttons on the side.
You can also choose different reticules with either 1, 2 or 4 dots.

different reticles for different models only. the EXPS also has a built-in QD lever.

The only difference is the quick release which raises the sight 7mm. The buttons are in the same location on all the 2 series sights. Only the 3 series have side control buttons.
I do have a EXPS2-0 in stock for sale at a huge discount off of MSRP.

I like the 100% co-witness so I can use my irons also if I have too.

Just received my Exps2-0 from redchevyman, thanks Mike, the Exps2-0 looks great and has the side buttons as well. 1/3 co-witness, Quick disconnect, great system.

So the XPS2 is 100% Cowitness and the EXPS is 1/3 Cowitness correct?

That's correct.. although if you find one with a QD mount I think they're 1/3rd also.

You can use your irons with either one. With absolute CS the irons line up in center of the sight window. With lower 1/3 the irons line up in the lower 1/3 part of the sight window.

There is a lot of confusion on cowitness. It is not the relation of the dot and irons. This thread might help
