Optic Recommendation for FAL?

I'm completing the build on a FAL and interested in an optic for it.

I decided on the standard optic rail cover (and not the stripper clip). Basic requirements stand:

1. I'd like to get up to 10-12x magnification if possible as well.
2. Budget for Optic $300 (less rings)
3. Shooting paper/steel
4. Prefer something with mil dots
