Just bought a Nikon m-223.... Question

This is my first scope. I mounted the scope on my m4.

Question, my rear iron site is situated where is perfectly lines up with the scope. When I try to look through the scope I am forced to look through the rear iron site and it perfectly matches with the sites within the scope. Should I just remove the rear site?

The M223 is set up perfectly to be paired with Nikons Spot On software which can give you any hold overs points you need at any magnification. Personally, I woudl remove it and mabe go to a flip so you can use the entire lower post to accurately keep your holdover points whether on teh BDC, Nikoplex, or point blank reticle if you have the 1-4. You dont need to remove it, but its nice have the bdc options.
