    Remington "Scoremaster" Scope Recomendations

I need to get a scope for my dad's old Remington "Scoremaster" Model 511 .22

Don't want to spend to much. Under $150.00 would be nice.

Buy a 22RF scope with a 1" tube in 4X or 3X9 from Bushnell or simmons. They will cost about $50 and work well. Be sure to get a 22RF and not a regular scope as the parrelax(sp) in a 22RF scope is adjusted for 50-75 yards and a big game scope is set for 150-175 yards unless you get a adjustable objective scope. I just prefer to use the K.I.S.S. principle.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Is that rifle already tapped and or slotted for optics? Most were not from the factory, mine is not. Getting a mount and rings is probably harder than finding a scope.

It did have a scope on it at one time (slotted from the looks).
