Need sturdier lens covers

I "upgraded" all my scope lens covers to Butler Creek. Two matches later, on one rifle, the plastic connecting the cap and the folding mechanism is already broke on one cover. I think the non-fold-flat design for the opened lens covers may have contributed to this.

Any other options for <$50, aside from Leupold Alumina?

What kinda scope do you have? I think Leupold Alumina only fit on Leupold scopes.

Butler creek sells standard flip up covers and the multi flex flipups. You can give that a try but I dont think they will be more durable. I had the standard flip ups but I got rid of em because they wouldnt stay closed. I had a hard time finding decent scope covers too. Now I just use a bikini style cover.

The Bikini style covers always worked OK in fair weather. However, I stopped using them after shooting a couple matches in heavy rain.
