Bipod adapters and attachments?

Hello all,

I purchased a Savage Edge XP rifle and I want to put a bipod on it. I know Harris and a few others make excellent bipods, but here's my question. For a rifle that looks exactly like this:

Is there a particular adapter or style I need to get to mount it on the rifle? How does the bipod cinch onto the front of the rifle?

You want a bipod that mounts onto a swivel stud, which is that thing with the hole that protrudes from the stock underneath the front of the barrel. Something like this http://www.cdnninvestments.com/shriadslswst.html which I run on my Savage edge
