    optics advice

I have a stag arms model 2t in 5.56 right hand model, had to have that stupid bullet button installed and get 10rd mags. i enjoy the open sights and im new to the whole red dot thing... grew up with a 3x9x40 leopold scope. I was looking at an eotech 512 since it takes regular AA batteries and seems to be priced well $380 on sale at impactguns.com

Since i have no real experince other then shooting my friends aimpoint ml3 is a reddot particularly the eotech 512 good for medium range or can anyone reccomend a economicly priced red dot style for medium range like 200yrd max range i dont plan on dooing much i just fly to idaho for family and shoot coyotes and stuff plus the range is just fun for me.

thanks in advance im pretty new to the ar game too but i enjoy shooting alot

Check out Primaryarms.com red dots, good service from that company. Easy 200yd range. Similar to but much nicer than my Bushnell TRS-25.

I would go with the 512 for the versatility of close and medium range. I can set you up with one for less. I have 3 in stock today. PM me for price.

Depends on your price range. I have an XPS2-0 and it's nice close in but 200 yards would be my max I think ..100 is hittable with 12" plates fairly easy. The Price was 400 bucks from someone doing a goup buy here exile machines I think awsome complany no problems easy transaction. You're not gonna get 200 yards out of some PoC Barska red dot though imho so keep that in mind.
