Iv'e seen some Israeli ones on E-Bay from time to time. They are inexpensive and sometimes listed for other things. If you want a throw lever mount you could try Night Vision Depot, http://www.nvdepot.com/parts/pvs4_throwlevermount.asp. You could also try Stano Components, http://www.night-vision.com/moreinfo/pvs_4_info.html, they carry pvs-4's. Also NAIT, http://www.nait.com/. Good luck.Comment

arms20, BTDT. it's been OOP for a year or more. several places still list but it aint in stock. stano doesn't have anything at present.
i bought the elcan for $80. it'll probably work. if not, i can resell, thyey list for>$400.
thanks for the reply. i'm drawing a total blank on 4 boards. the scope arrived today, it's surplus but it works awesome. for under a grand i think i did well. it is old tech and heavy but it can be upgraded with a gen III tube later.sigpic Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nuncComment

WHOO HOO, IT ROCKS! the difference over cheap gen I is startling. i know it aint state of the art and it is heavy(4#), but until i can shell out $3k+ for a 14, it'll due nicely. it can accept a gen III tube. the military upgraded a few before they retired it. usually considered superior to civilian gen II equipment. i'm happy.

So how do you like it.. Have you upgraded any of the internals to see better at night? Are you using an IR illuminator with it.
I remember back in the day while using these they worked off of illumination and couldn't see past 100m. (better than nothing I guess) Used them on ambush sites, and overwatch.
Great idea and project.
