Hey all you calgunners out there, so I am interested in and have been looking at the vortex sparc red dot sight. I have also been eyeing the lucid hd7 red dot because they are around the same price and I just dont have the money for an aimpoint or eotech. So anyway I was looking for various opinions on the quality of these two products to help make my decision. I have acually seen reviews on youtube for both, but I am interested in what people have to say about these sights before I go full bore, So, for your opinions and insight I would be greatful, thanx.

However my opinion may be biased, very biased.
The LUCID HD7 as compared to the Vortex Strike Fire is really not a fair comparison.
They may share a similar price point, but that is nearly where the comparison ends.

Think there was a little mix up, we're you comparing the Sparc or the Strikefire? If the Sparc. that is a great little red dot.
I've used the Sparc on 308 platforms and never had an issue. I love the fact that it can be mounted on a low position and in a high position to be used on any rifle platform and an AR platform. Even teh included double is nice quality. Its also great that the Sparc and Aimpoint micro use the same platform so you can use the micro mounts with it, such as the LaRue micro mounts.
All in all the Sparc is a great sight especially for under $200.

I have both... SPARC on an AK variant and HD7 on AR15... both are great, and either are a good choice.
The SPARC is obviously smaller, more compact and lighter... the HD7 has 4 options of reticles... both have variable brightness settings, but the HD7 includes auto brightness (I never use it)...
The 2x magnifier on the HD7 is better than the SPARC, in fact, I use the HD7's 2x mag on my SPARC and the Lucid 2X-5X variable magnifier on the HD7...
If you want small/compact, the SPARC is a good choice, if you want lots of flexibility/options, the HD7 is a good choice.
I might be selling my HD7 with 2-5X magnifier and ADM QD flip mount... primarily because I'm considering something more compact - it's a great optic... PM me if interested."Kamala is a radical leftist lunatic" ~ Donald J. TrumpComment

I have two LUCID HD7's and they are excellent. Both have held zero through many hundreds of rounds and I especially like using the dot for precision rest shots and the Eotech style reticle for quick snap type standing shots on silhouettes.Comment
