need suggestions for a $150-$200 interim scope

I will be getting a Tikka T3 in .308 this coming week...

I already know I will be putting a Nightforce on it (along with a bunch of other changes), but I'm still in the process of saving for it. It will probably be around this summer before I can actually shell out for one.

I can spend about $150 on a scope now, so I can still get out and shoot it, if for nothing else to fireform my brass.

Before the "If you can spend a little more..." people chime in, I'd really like to not spend more than $200. I will be spending a little more when I get the NXS.

Anyone have experience with some cheap scopes that surprised them? I will be using this for target shooting exclusively.

Bushnell 3200 Fixed 10x. The only scope at that price range that you should be thinking about.

SWFA just announced they are putting out a new line of fixed scopes with mil/mil adjustments.

This. One of the few, if not the only, scope in that price range that has matching knobs/reticle, with decent glass, and most important of all a proven track record of reliability and repeatability.

That $299 price at Midway is a good deal right now, but give Mike Cecil at CS Tactical a call to see if he has them in stock and can beat it.

Yes. Just a typo on my part. Fingers faster than the brain and all that.

I'll third that. Ive been using the moa/mil versions for years. Decent optics. For range work, it will get down the road. I had a reticle adjustment spring fail on one unit. It happens.

Redfield 3X9 is a heck of a scope for under $200. It is made by Leupold and has their no BS warr for life. You could use it for good if desired and have a good combo.
