I've been reading up on the rimfire version vs the standard and notice the only difference is the set parallax. How much of a difference does a scope set at 50 parallax vs 100 parallax. Cause it seems like I can get the 2-7x 50 parallax version of the Diamondback and it'd operate fine on my Ruger Mini Target. Any input on this? Its much cheaper, like $50 cheaper. Thanks for any input, totally new to scopes.

Vortex Diamondback 2-7x regular vs rimfire

The bottom line is that at 7x the 100 yard version won't be very sharp at 50 yards. Parallax set at 50 yards is just that. If you plan to do 50 yard shooting then the rimfire version is the way to go. Especially if at max mag. Otherwise, the 100 yard version is fine
