    BUIS Help

I recently purchased a set of Meprolite tritium sights (Front Post/Rear Peep)
and encountered a issue. When I attempted to install the rear I realized that the knob on my Magpul BUIS was staked on so I couldn't replace it with the new peep sight.

Fo all those that have iron/aluminum sights, so you think you are able to swap out your rear peep sights. I just need some input on my choices. I'm leaning towards Troy/UTG.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions that are offered up.

Well since there were not any replys, I going to venture to guess that nobody has attempted this type of project. So I sacraficed my Magpul BUIS Gen II as the test subject. I ended up punching out the stake and ran into a issue with removing the knob as it was more than likely glued on as a safety precaution.
I attempted to heat the plastic so that it would become more pliable but it appeared that it was starting to warp rather than loosed the adhesive.
To make a long story short it didn't work and I was unable to replace the rear peep on my BUIS. I am just going the easy route and buying a BUOIS that already has tritium in in and call it a day.

I'm going to go either Tru-Glo/Troy front and Troy DOA rear Irons.
