    Scope For 10-22

Just bought my 1st rimfire. Looking at either the Nikon or Leupold brands as I am somewhat familiar with them.

Any others I should take a peek at? I've heard horror stories about some bargain-brand rimfire scopes.

    Thanks, as usual.

If you're okay with a duplex reticle, I don't know if you can beat the VX-II 3-9x33mm Ultralight EFR. Very impressive.

If you go with a Nikon with a BDC reticle, you get the benefit of the SpotOn software:

I want a scope for my 10/22 that I can mount to my AR if I so choose to, is this absurd? If not, what scope would seem appropriate for both applications?

        Scope

I put leupold 1.5x5 on almost all my guns. 1x4 will work to.

FWIW, I went with the Sightron SI39x40. Without spending more than I did for the gun, I think it's a good choice. I'm getting on in years so I figured it would be a little brighter than the SI39x32RF.

Nice, enjoy that scope. Don't they provide a lifetime of internal fog protection? Good buy for the cost!

That's a very nice scope also and I strongly considered it. I just prefer the duplex reticle rather than the BDC on the Nikon.

The BDC is going to be absolutely useless if you also plan on using it on an AR as you said earlier (unless it's a 22LR conversion).

I agree, the Nikon is bad ***
