    HAMR

Looking at the Leuopold HAMR to throw on my SCAR. Anyone have any input on this scope? It would seem Leupold designed the HAMR for use with the SCAR.

just got mine last night..go to primaryarms.com for the best price..i saved a couple hundred.
i have owned a lot of scopes, particularly the 1-4x types..i wanted to come back to a fixed 3 or 4x like the acogs..not getting one of those cause i need a focus ring...anyhow it was between the IOR 3x or this..as i had a 3x IOR before i figured i'd try this..initial impressions?...i have it mounted and so far i like it..going to the range now to check it out

just got back and have to say..probably the last scope i'll own..The glass is unbelievably clear..better than trijicon..as good as IOR...though the focus ring reminds me of a 1-4x Nightforce i once had...it takes a lot of turns to get it where you want it, but once there you then have a focus lock knob also..thats pretty cool...i called Leupold last week to verify if this little dot in the horseshoe should be zeroed at 50/200 yds and they said yes, so thats what i did..using israeli 62gr ammo..once zeroed we were hitting tennis balls at 200yds..no ****!!..from what i heard ADM has a mount for this..just have to call em..I dont like mounts you have to take off with a wrench...Once mounted tho..it provides a perfect cheek weld and like i said..super clear sight pic...the illumination is not daytime visible..but not far off..i had it on and while in direct sunlight..if i was aiming into the dark the damn thing lit up real good!!!!

Don't know what you'll think of it..i really only think its a 600-700 dollar optic..but hey!! no one else is making one with a focus knob..And please don't bring up Burris and their 3x...not even in the same league
