    differences between viper and diamondback

What are the differences between the diamondback and viper?

I was about to decide between the 3-9x40 Diamondback and the Burris fullfield E1 when I was offered an opportunity to buy a Viper at a very good price.

Pretty big jump there. The viper line will give you better coatings and I believe a better turret system. Ultimately going to be a more repeatable scope that will hold up to the elements and forces better.

On paper, it's a big jump. But the fact of the matter is, while having less frills than the Viper, the DB is an amazingly successful scope line. We've never had a return on one in 5 years, can't say that for any other scope model that Vortex sells. They are very clear, have a slightly better FOV than the Viper (at the expense of shorter eye relief) and a bigger eyebox than the Viper. I've lost a couple of Viper sales to the customer who looked firsthand through the DB after

If you can get the Viper at a very good price, do it. Its a great scope as it with the finer details and at a better price than usual retail listing is a nice find.

The viper is going on a new tikka t3 lite 308. It should make a great combo.

That Viper will be a nice match for your new Tikka!
