AK vs. PSL scope rails
I'm working on getting some optics for my PSL and might get another Kalashnikov variant at some point in the future as well, so a question comes up. What are the differences between the side rails on them? What do I need to know about fitting between the two styles--are they interchangeable or at least somewhat close? Are there any particular brands you like or dislike?

Yes, there's a difference. The PSL rail is slightly higher on the receiver. It also doesn't use one of the rear trunnion rivets to secure it.sigpic
