Scope recommendation please

Looking for a scope to put on my Marlin 1895 45-70.

Looking for a something that will take the abuse of the heavy recoil and something with a longer eye relief.

I have a 1895M 450 Marlin, I understand and know the feeling you have. I shoot that monster quite a bit, absolutely love it. I wa sthinking of getting some parts from WWG up in Alaska as well to touch it up a bit. If you want variable power and not want to break the bank, check out teh Nikon 2.5-8 EER. May seem like a lot of mag, butmost shots are left at 2.5x, but its nice to be able to dial up a bit when you're having some fun. Of course fun with t a 45-70 isnt too many shots without a nice pad!
