Best 3-9x Scope Options $200-$300

Building my first ar15 and not looking to drop another $1k on optics, at least not yet. Looking for some help in finding a solution that fits my needs best. Here's what I'm looking for:

1) Prefer a 3-9x magnification
2) Would like a Mil-dot reticle
3) Scope must be compact like an ACOG size

Will be using this primarily for the range for plinking so just looking for something that will get the job done.

This is what I was originally looking at however a lot of guys are telling me to steer clear regardless of their lifetime warranty. I really liked all the features but the negative feedback is what has me second guessing.

I got this on my RRA Predator Pursuit and its great for the price. The 1/10 mil adjustable turrets is fantastic!

Same scope but 3-10x vice 10x only and still in price range. I have 1 and it seems others do too.

add 100 bucks to your budget and you can have a brand new retail zeiss 3-9x40MC Conquest. That's ZEISS for way way way under a grand at almost any retailer.
