Looking for a Optics for dummies info

I have never used anything other than iron sights and now that I am building my first AR I plan to get a scope for it. Can someone point me to a book or site that is basically an optics for dummies. I do not understand the verbiage that is used when talking about scopes and anything really related to scopes. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at the Riflescope category on this page. It has a glossary of terms and guides on what to look for and how to select a scope. It about 2 or 3 years old but it is a great guide:
