Ive got a leupold 6.5-20x50mm in the mail. I currently have RRA foreward leaning mounts but wanted some advice on other ideas to mount it. Ive been looking at the American Defense Recon but dont really want the QD since i have no irons and don't plan to switch over. It's a 30mm mount. Should I just stay with what I have?

Also, it is going on a 6.8mm AR with scope level and angle indicator

That is some high magnification for the 6.8 SPC platform you got there. if you do not want the QD, which I prefer, go with Leupold or NF ring mounts.

With that magnification you might be trying to reach out a little more. The Mark 4 rings with their 15 moa might be a nice choice for you. The Nightforce Unimount is a bit more pricey but would also be a nice match.

After buying a pair of Warne rings I'll be hard pressed to buy anything else with regards to weaver rails.

Thanks for the advice! I doubt i'll ever go over 500yds. I just love having some zoom.
