    Eotech + G23 Magnifier

I have a question on sighting in my Eotech. What do people ideally sight their optics in at? I know with bullet drop and stuff, do you sight in at 50 yards and then adjust for bullet drop for long range targets? I was trying to get it dead on at 100 yards. What's ideal, or is it a personal preference?

Which EOTech are you using with your magnifier? Do you have the BDC models (EXPS 3-4 or EOTech 557)?
If yes, I zero the top dot at 250Y so the 400, 500 and 600 match to my load. You will need to use a ballistic calculator and chronograph your current load to plug in the FPS. I was thinking about making a video about this sometime since a lot of folks don't know how to do this.

Then zero as you would without the magnifier. Choose whichever distance will work best. Most like the 50y/220y zero, others like the 100y zero. Since there's no BDC dots on that model, you won't have an aiming point over 300Y so you'll have to guess.

Perfect, thank you for the info. I have it pretty much right on the money at 100y. Then just guessing a bit for the farther targets

EOTech suggests sighting in with the magnifier, as the view is more precise. Then the optic can be used with or without the magnifier. I called EOTech to confirm this.
