burris/leopold ring,mount interchage

Hello all

I have a long action Rem 700 in left hand stainless with silver bases and blue rings but there is no name stamped on either so I am wondering if I just buy standard rings in silver will they fit both burris or leopold bases since the ones I have now look like they could be either one.I know I sound cheap in going this way but I dont want to just throw away a set of good mounts just to say I bought a new matching set.

You didn't say what style these were - Weaver or dovetail, but either way, they rings and bases are interchangeable in the standard configuations.

Sorry for not being clear in my queston,I am guessing what I have is known as a red field style base with the front in a 1/4 turn to lock ring and the rear with two facing screws that engage each side of the rear ring with some side to side adjustment. my main interest is being able to use different brands of rings or do I need to start over with all new rings and bases of the same brand since what I have now is of unknown brand

bambklr, what you have are referred to as Standard Dovetail style. So, as suspected, you can use pretty much any brand of standard dovetail rings to match your existing bases.
