Good Daylight Visible Laser for <$100?

I am looking for a good (read: stays aligned with a lifetime over 1000 hours) laser sight I can bolt onto my AR. I am looking to spend no more than $100, I don't need anything cool just something that works.

What I am looking to do is improve my peep sight centering speed and accuracy, I think being able to see the point of impact will help. I am open to bore lasers if they are accurate enough to get the job done and are cheaper.


Asking because I have had a hard time finding products sub $300.

The reason you're having a hard time finding them sub $300, is because they don't exist.

Quality lasers are just expensive, unfortunately.

Honestly, a laser is only going to slow you down as you try and find the dot on the target, stick with irons or optics, they will be faster than some laser, even if used in conjunction with irons. The only time I can see a laser being useful is an infrared laser coupled with NVGs.

It isn't a permanent solution, what im looking for is a training tool so I can learn to center the iron sights faster on every shot by making the POI apparent. In that way I can instantly tell if I have my cheek weld and eye position correct or not. I'm looking to unlearn some bad technique.

I'd also like to see what my trigger pull does to the POI.

Maybe a laser boresight and practice indoors would be better suited to my needs?

Buy a 22 rifle, even a single shot. Shoot an Appleseed Event. Money better spent.

Why not try a cheap red dot. I have quality dots on a couple of ARs and they line up with the flip up irons very well. Lets you know where your irons are when you mount the rifle to fire. Any cheap pointer laser taped to the rifle would do for what you want. No laser you can afford will do well at distance and spot size you can see over 60yrds distance. And it shouldn't be needed either you can tell how you are doing across the room.

We have sold quite a few of this model from Sightmark to shooter who have mounted them on AR's as well as other center fire rifles, haven't seen any come back in returns. Might be something that would fit your bill:

A pulsing green laser is probably the only one with any chance of being visible in daylight. That will cost you.

The sights on your weapon are for daylight - lasers for for low light shooting.

Only laser that will be visible during the day is a green one. Those do not come cheap.

the laser boresighters will not work if you plan to dry fire with it. That will damage it and probably get stuck in the chamber.

Just stick a cleaning rod inside the barrel and balance a coin on it. Then dry fire. It should not fall. Old trick we learned in basic training about trigger control.
