    OP with all due respect, you are wrong. Nothing in the ordering process ever indicated a delay or backorder... and when I log into my account and review invoice all it says is "on hold".

    I have called customer service and discussed the issue... got an email with info on how to get an rma # - I'll probably return the light and cancel the Burris ( I can get both from red-dot-scopes for only a few bucks more and they have 'em in stock).

      Thanks for your feedback. I don't know if we're wrong, but it does sound like we didn't meet your expectations.

      Notifications (expected to ship in time-frames) are pre-purchase on the product page (like I circled in the example image) and in the shopping cart. It's different than OpticsPlanet, where the website doesn't support pre-purchase listings and we have to send one out after we get the order. Backorder isn't really the right word for it on Dvor - what we're doing is working with Burris and other manufacturers to provide lower prices, and sometimes that means we have to place a special order. The order ends up on hold because we are waiting for the product within the 4-6 week time frame listed for the product.

      It sounds like maybe if the "expected to ship" time was a bit more visible you would not have been disappointed, so I'll send that feedback off to the right people. While I'm sorry this order didn't work out for you, I do appreciate hearing about your experience. We want to make sure Dvor has the best shopping experience possible (and OpticsPlanet too!)

        Yes you are right, a MUCH more visible notification of delay would help... I didn't see anything in the ordering process - but after noticing what you are referencing, that's easily overlooked.

        Also an option to have items shipped together would be nice - reason being; if the Burris takes longer than expected, the option to return other item expires. I was told the Burris should be in on 11/21/11 but "there are no gaurantees"... without the Burris I'm really not interested in the rest of the order.

        Anyway - other than this order, I have been very pleased with DVOR (and OP) - hopefully future orders will be as smooth as previous to this one.

          Yup, let me put in a plug for OpticsPlanet. I've ordered a Zeiss scope from these guys, a Nikon Monarch scope, DNZ rings, Leupold Cascadias....all within the last month. They have pulled the back order thing on me, but they did send out e-mails notifying me.

          All things considered, OP is one of my favorite places to shop.

                Anyone hear news of the OpticPlanet promotional push that Alessandro referenced above? Im sitting on a purchase till the end of the day waiting for his post. Im not on the mailing list and wasnt successful signing up.

                    Interesting. The ability to request both items ship together isn't something that's ever come up.

                      I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses from them, and they did a perfect job.
                      It took a few weeks, but it was worth the wait, as I couldn't find the style
                      I was looking for anywhere else. Thumbs up!
