Millet, Burris, Vortex...Or Something Else Under $600

I am looking for a 1-4x scope for my AR. It would be used for 3 gun and general target shooting/CQB type activities. I was looking to stay under $600 and saw the DMS-1, the Tac-30 and DMR models.

Can you guys help me decide? I also thought of a Vortex as well. What do you guys think?

Also look at the Burris MTAC - it's the upgraded version of the Tac 30, but still reasonably priced.

I have a Burris Tac30, and it's a great scope for the $$$. I usually use it with the illumination off, but it's daylight bright with it on as well.

As others have said, go with the TAC-30 or the MTAC (TAC30 v2). It has everything you need for starting 3-gun, short of dropping major cash on a Swarovski.

Vortex PST is nice. I think you could get it from Libertyoptics + an ADM mount for 650ish.

How would it compare to the Accupoint? Either one of the one's listed above?

At that price range, nothing can touch an SWFA 1-4 HD with donut reticle.

Did a search for it and came up with the Super Sniper for $800. Is that the one you are talking about?

There's a group buy going on right now for the non-donut reticle SWFA for $799 with a nice mount as well (cant remember the brand...either bobro or AD). That is a steal. But if you truly are limited to $600, definitely go with the Vortex 1-4x24 PST and call it a day. You wont be disappointed in it's quality.

Where do I find the group buy at?

                          Here you go...

I would have probably gone with this if ther deal was going on when I bought my Vortex. The HD glass really appeals to me. But I cant complain....the Vortex is really nice too. And I like my reticle better than the T reticle in this group buy sale. No donut reticle substitutions allowed.

Oh, and the mount is a Bobro, and the deal also comes with Butler Creek lens covers and also a Throw lever cat tail! Amazing deal, which puts the price of the scope around $500 with all those extras!

Sorry... for some reason I thought it was under $600.

I got in on one of the group buys... the mount alone is worth over $200... so that's probably why I thought it was $600.

Have one setup on my wife's gun, slapping 600 yard plates with it is a breeze. At 1x the eye relief is generous enough to almost feel like i'm using a red dot.

Burris Tac-30 or Meopta K-Dot ??? Which one would you get if they were the same price?
