its been a year maybe less since initial t&e on these and they really think an msrp of 1k is acceptable?

I know they sell good products. I tested the crap out of them in Iraq but this is crazy. A red dot for over $1k

I know it sucks, but you have to pay to play. The T&E on these thing are top notch and the build is the best quality you can get... I wish it was cheaper too, but all who have seen real optics and cheap china made optics will and can appreciate the difference in quality.

when it gets to your retailer im sure it will be closer to that price point. the msrp should have started at 7-800 to begin with.

I've been holding off on buying a red dot for my AR I just finished a couple months ago. I guess Ill wait till end of summer to pick this up. Iron sights will do just fine till then.

I checked one out at the SHOT show, very nice optic!

The rep I spoke to thought availability would be summer '12.

They should have spent the time working on a 1-6X AccuPoint with ACOG reticle. OTOH, I'm glad they spent that time with the SRS and an ACOG for the Crossbow. D'Oh!

Only way that price could be acceptable is if it was tritium with no batteries. Kind of like ACOG meets RDS. With batteries, their upper limit was the Aimpoint Micro T1
