    hand gun red dot.

So I want a 1" diameter silver red dot scope. I have a Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter 44 mag. It came with rings and i put a Simons 2-6X32 Prohunter on it, no complaints but I want a red dot to switch out sometimes. The best part is the zero holds when I take off and put back on the scope, so having two scopes would be very practical. Basically I want to know if any one knows of a 1" diameter red dot, preferably silver.

ADCO makes a silver finish 1'' tube red dot. You can find it here:

Millett also makes one in a 1'' silver:

I'd suggest UltraDot or Aimpoint. I have both and they're extremely tough. None of mine had any problems.

I have Ultradots on my bullseye guns, 1911's. The dot is mounted to the slide of my .45 acp, so it recoils with the slide. After 100's of rounds on this gun, no problems. (I want to say 1,000's of rounds, but it may only be about 2,000.) Lifetime warranty.

I had 2 Millet Sp multi dot scopes and they both went bad. Millet exchanged them for new ones and they went bad. They eventually asked me if I would be satisfied with replacing them with SP-2's and I said that would be fine. So to their credit, they went me 2 SP-2 for each multidot. Very good customer service.

I've got an old Tasco (it's black, but spray paint does wonders) that I'll make you a deal on.

As for other options, look at the Vortex SPARC. Pretty sweet little scope and the price is solid. I got mine at CS Tactical. Gotta support the California companies.
