took a class in may and fired my first ar -15 style rifle. became hooked and just got my first 2 rifles last month a sig 556 with troy rails and ubr stock and a noveske n4 lo pro . i purchased 2 so my wife doesnt have to stand over my shoulder waiting for me to hand over a gun to her to shoot. She really likes to go to the range. i have read so many posts on different optics that i might , no i have made myself second and third guess on what i should look at next.
so far i have accumulated an exps2-0 and looking for a magnifier. i would also like to purchase a scope for target shooting at 100 yards plus. was leaning towards a vortex viper pst 1-4x20 {like the price}or possibly the SS 1-4x24{ dont really like the price}.
at some point I want to aquire a 308 rifle. i know this is a total newb dumb question but is it better or wise to have different purpose and or length optics on multiple rifles when you have a few. like the 1-4x20 on the sig, the eotech on the noveske and a longer range scope on a 308 ar style rifle?
