    Folding BUIS

Getting ready to drop the hammer on a set of back up sights for an AR upper with scope, Burris 1x4 in a LaRue LT-104.
Looking at Troy folding, but wondered if any one has found or use folding BUIS they like better or have a lower profile when folded than Troys.
    Thanks

Yankee Hill Machine has some really nice low profile sights. I have a set on my rifle and love them. You will not be disappointed in them.

      QDS Low Profiles:

I got mine for a company called "Brightflashlights" and the had the best price by quite a bit.

Thanks again for the in put.
Think I look at most of the the market. Ended up with Troy micros for $170 at J&S. Good price.

The more I looked and read the more not having springs seemed like a good thing. This upper will be scoped and my old eyes can't shoot irons for ***** any more anyway, so they will sped most there time just laying there (I hope). Although there are some things that caught my eye. The new Magpul gen 2 are almost as low pro.

          Any way Thanks again.

That is a good price on the micros, thanks for sharing and good luck on your setup.

I looked around for a while and settled on Wilson because of the elevation adjustment and the thing is built like a tank. I use Brownells flip up front sight with it to cowitness with my Aimpoint CompM. Perfect combo for me.

Stick with Troy. I have been very pleased with them and tried at least 20 different brands (I sell this stuff so I get to play with it). Not a fan of YHM at all. That's like asking if you should buy a Ferarri and somebody says to buy a Yugo instead.

Troy are good and YHM are good. I have messed around with both and the fact is they are about equal. TC insinuating Yugo for the YHM is absolutely ridiculous.

I picked up a set of these for my new build and am pretty happy with them.

Also have a set of YHM manual flip BUIS on my ST22 and like them as well.

I appreciate that you have the opportunity to handle and work with many of the options out there, but was wondering what makes them so inferior (Yugo grade?) to other flip sights?

Material? Manufacturing tools? Manufacturing location? Warranty? Holding Zero? Not criticizing your opinion. This is a serious question as I really haven't had the chance to mount and operate the other brands.

                        Up date

Well, the good price on the troy micros from J&Sgunpart never shipped. Called 3, 4 times. Got run around, jacked off and heard every excuse from gun show to don't know. Canceled order today.

Primary Arms will ship today or tomorrow, per phone order. Ten bucks cheaper too.

So be advised, Primary Arms, #1 GI.
