I believe the Viper you're referring to is mil/moa.

The Viper is a Mil dot with MOA turrets yes but it's not a FFP so unless you stick to 14x the mil dots will not do any good anyway. That's why I have Strelok and Mil-dot calculator on my Droid.lolA mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly.

That's kind of what turned me off to it.
I may be borrowing my father in law's 3-9 cheapy Tasco for a bit. Maybe I'll see if 9x is decent, or if I feel it's too low for me.
And I'll see how much the cheap glass bothers me, and how much resolution I can make out with it.Comment

300 bucks?
Only one choice, IMO...
SWFA Super Sniper
Or wait for 3200 10x target to go on sale at Midway, $154 a piece, I bought a couple when they went on sale. Have one on a silhouette rifle and another on an AR (coyote gun to-be) in a LaRue mount. They're really nice for staggered distance mid range work, for the price...can dial in elevation, confirm zero and start working. Glass is good for the price. Track really nice. Solid clicks. Can handle 8mm military ammo recoil (I know from experience).Comment
