looks like a chinese or bushnell fake-cog with the sig branding

I have no experience with this, but I can tell you this, from my experience with my genuine Trijicon ACOGs (ta01, ta31f, ta31rcoa4) and my ncstar spotting scope 20-60x magnification, the operator will notice the difference immediately in less than ideal lighting condition with the cheap "glass".

in daylight ideal lighting conditions i'm sure the cheap clones will be fine for plinking, but once you are in low light or if you need fine detail, the glass on a ACOG, nightforce, S&B, us optics, leupold, etc will absolute demolish the clones

shooting @ the 100 yd outdoor range @ night the nc star spotting scope is all but useless

Thanks for that background. I had always wondered what the value of the brand name scopes were over the NC-Star ones other than quality of fit, finish, and durability.

This is the same scope as the Primary Arms 4x that they used to sell, only this one is 3x. I actually had one for a while before I moved to an Eotech 512.

The scope was good for the money, but apparently there were some problems coming out of China on certain batches where the reticle had a significant amount of canting. Mine did not exhibit this problem, however.

The eye relief was fair for a std 4x scope, but not like the better 1-4x scopes. It was probably 2", max of 2.5". The Field of View was what I felt it was missing, not giving a very big picture when you look through it. But what do you expect for a $120 optic.....ACOG quality?

I'd say the main reason I sold it was not because of anything above, but mainly the fact tat the reticle was so dang hard to use. The lines were very fine, and the zero line, 200 yd line and 300 yd lines were so dang close together, it was often that I found them difficult to distinguish between each other without illumination. I dont remember how bright the illumination was, so I wont comment on that, but I dont remember it really being much of a problem. I do know it was NOT like an Eotech or Aimpoint, but I think it was bright enough to be usable in many situations.

Glass was better than a Barska or NcStar type scope, but nothing to brag about. Picture was sharp to the edges, but did exhibit some dimming.....a characteristic of most Chinese glass.

Here are the pics I snapped of it: Sorry if they are a bit big.

EDIT: Pics are way too big. You can view them if you want, but I dont want to post them up as pics here.
