Red Dot Reflex sight?

A budget reflex sight would be the Burris Fastfire. Another budget option would be the Vortex Strikefire Red Dot Sight.

A high end reflex sight would be the Leupold Delta Point Reflex.

I have a Primary Arms micro coming in tomorrow. It will be mounted on my M1A and based on every writeup I've found, should handle the .308 recoil without issue. Nothing but great reviews, so for $80 it was worth it as my first "test the waters" with a red dot.

I'll post an initial impressions review after I hit the range with it this weekend.

Vortex StrikeFire it's the way to go "red and green dot" the green dot it's handy when shooting in the day time hours

i disagree. i think the eotechs are way better. i would go with eotech, its a bit out of your price range but difinitely worht your money only down fall for me is the battery life on it.

Is sitting on a 45 degree offset mount on the right side of my scope works fine for me. Rest assured you get what you pay for though so the more you can spend the better IMHO on these.

i use to own a mueller, and i would always lose zero shooting about 600 rounds. they wouldnt warranty my optic so ended up selling it and got a eotech and never looked back. maybe i just had a bad one out of the bunch, who knows but thats my experience with them and would never buy another muelleroptic.

If you have the coin, the EOTech's are a nice way to go. We have the new and compact EXPS2 and EXPS3 series in-stock and they are very nice.

for a budget red dot or 1x reflex sight/scope, I'd go for the Vortex strikefire or sparc

I personally use the TA31RCOA4 Acog, Eotech 511.a65 and had the aimpoint compm2 but my friends have purchase the Vortex and they perform quite well.

Is there a reflex sight that can handle the recoil of a .223 AR rifle? Something that is not that expensive. Maybe under $100. Any help is appreciated.

At $100 you are at the why bother point. Irons will be much more reliable. Your only real option is Primary Arms. They are acceptable for training, but I would not be all that comfortable trusting my life to them. They don't expect you to either. They know their roll.

Vortex Sparc is a little more than twice your budget, but that is the least expensive Red Dot that is on the "it can save your life" side of things. Or at least so it's fans keep saying.

Personally if my life is on the line I want either and Aimpoint or an EoTech, and a relatively high end model. My life is worth $500 or more.

But I do have a Primary Arms Micro Sight in Tall Mount on my backup/range whore. My primary has an EoTech XPS 2.0. No question which rifle I reach for in an emergency.

just throwing this out there, but you can probably trust your life to the russian eotech/aimpoint equivalent, I think it is called Kobra EKP or something like that

they probably weigh a ton, will probably take up your entire top rail but i'm sure it will take a licking and keep on ticking
