    Primary Arms 1-4x24 Illuminated Scope

I just recently purchased a PA 1-4x24 scope and thought I would share a few pics. I have this installed on a dedicated .22 AR I just built. I have always wanted to play around with a 1-4 scope and thought the low price of the scope and mount fit perfect for my small budget on optics for my .22

The scope is quite beefy and sturdy. Seems very well built and all adjustments are clearly marked and easy to manipulate. The scope was easy to zero at 50 yards on my .22 and appears to hold it with no issues. But it is a .22 with little to no recoil. The gun/scope combo is very accurate. The reticle dot lights up nicely but the illumination is not visible in bright sun. No worries though as the glass is pretty clear and the black aiming dot works just fine in bright sun. I have yet to use the scope in a low light environment. The 1-4 adjustment works well but as others have said, this is not a true 1x on this scope. I probably have to adjust it to 1.2x or 1.3x to get to a visual that resembles 1x. I recommend you get the Butler Creek end caps for the scope as the factory ones don't look like they will hold up well.

I selected the PA deluxe extended scope mount as it was only $49 with purchase of the scope. The 1 piece mount is sturdy and well built. The scope attaches to the mount with no issues and the mount tightens up on the rail nicely. Together it makes for a solid combination.

Probably the biggest drawback to this scope/mount combo is the weight. I think together, it's weighing in at 24-25oz. That's a lot of weight on my .22!
Overall though, I would recommend this scope and mount to anyone on a budget. I spent almost $200 on the scope/mount/caps combo and am impressed.

Eye relief was about 3 inches. Accuracy was very good, but that will depend a lot on your rifle and the conditions in which you're shooting.

      FYI,
The target shown in the last pic is from sighting in my acog on my .223 AR at 100 yds. and not from the PA 1-4x24

With the setting set at 1.2 or 1.3 would you be able to shoot with both eyes open without any distortion? I'd like to get a PA red dot but my tired old eyes needs magnifiation when shooting at 50 yards.

Interested in the accuracy at 100 yards. I'd like to use this on a 6.8 future build for range and possible hog hunting

Is it me or are your crosshairs canted to the left? If so, you need to even them up with the gun.
