Hi I need some good suggestions for a scope in the $250-300 dollar range. I REALLY want a mil-dot reticle. It's gonna go on a Tikka T3 lite so I want something decent but don't want to spend an ungodly amount of money. As for magnification I don't want fixed power, I would like it to be around 3-9 or 4-12. Thanks for any suggestions, Justin

I was going to recommend a Super Sniper but since you are planning on hunting I have a new favorite.

I use it as a back-up, but the more I use it, the more impressed I am. My ONLY complaint is the Mil-Dots are set to be used on a magnification in the middle (12X), instead of the end. It makes setting it right matter and you have to look up to see.

Will probly get flamed for this but I bought a AIM 3-9x at the gun show for $80 and it has been good for me. I use it on my AR and has been accurate for the 100 yards I use it for. I plan on upgrading it later on though.Comment

Well ive been messing around with my dad's buckmaster 4-12x50 and the eye relief is very strict and you have to be on the scope perfectly. Ive also been playing with his vari-x 3 and the eye relief seems to be a lot more forgiving, but the glass isnt as clear as the buckmaster, granted the leupold is also 10+ years old.

Leupold VX2 line. Very, very clear & clean glass, as clean as some more expensive Leupolds. @ $299, no brainer..... Duplex ret tho.... no mil-dot....
